Twin Pushchair and other minis...

Hello all,

Been a long time since my last blog... I've been ultra busy bothering my better half to make my website for me lol.  It is almost done, a temporary shop is in place atm with me rushing around trying to input more stock so that the proper shop can be up and running sometime this year, fingers crossed.  this website seems to have been almost finished for a long time now so I'm praying it finally gets completed this year because being a 'struggling artist' lol I could do with the extra income just so I can afford a day off haha :)

So what have I been up to, well my lovely mate Susan, from down under gave me a shout and asked me to make her a little twin pushchair for the twin babies that live in her house so I gladly obliged. 

The little seats can lay back or sit upright and the hoods can be folded back.

I first met Susan when I created a replica wheelchair in mini for her.  After many conversations and lots of taking pictures and measurements this was the result...

I really enjoyed this project! :D

Now Susan is fantastic with yarn and one day mid creation of the twin pushchair a tiny parcelarrived and inside was the most amazingly small tea cosy with an extremely tiny and very beautiful butterfly sitting on top, well I thought it was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen!!  Until I saw the other minis sitting aside it... scream!!! An itsy bitsy pair of pants with ever so delicate buttons on the side AND some dainty, teeny, titchy little shoes with even tinier buttons!!!!  WOW!!  These must have been made by faeries they are so perfect!  A big thanks to my mate for these wonderful little minis that I will treasure forever.  Words can't tell you how pleased I am to own them.  :D

I've added in a 1 pence coin so you can see just how TINY they really are!  See, I told you faeries must have helped make them lol ;)

Now, I did get all my pram orders finished so I promised myself some time with my caravan, I needed to do more work to the inside so with a bit of luck I'll update you with pictures very soon but in the meantime, here is a little 1/12th scale Paris inspired curiosity coffee table with lots of Paris keepsakes inside it.  Hope you like it, it is available for sale in my Etsy shop or you can but it direct from me and I'll knock a couple of ££'s off just for being my follower :)

Next projects on the table are some unusual couches and an old style two bar electric fire because it's getting cold now and my thatch cottage needs warming up lol.

Dollhouse Pushchairs 1/12th scale

Hello my lovely mini friends…

Well first the good news, my doggy is much, much better thanks to all those well-wishers YAY! :)

Now for the pushchairs… I’m going to stop making this style soon (well it will move into my budget collection) the reason for this is as time goes on, you find better ways to do things, and improvements are born etc and also, I just get bored easily so I need a change.  These pushchairs are at an affordable price and available by emailing me or going to ebay (where I shall pop them up for sale tomorrow or maybe the next day lol). 

Another decision I have made is that I’m not going to take more than around four bespoke orders per year, this will leave me the freedom to create what is in my heart and thus lead to much better creations and also between you and me, I like to make new and different things rather than copy my own creations over and over, another reason why I’m putting this style of pushchair to bed lol.

I decided to make this batch of pushchairs in bright colours and I added a little hearts print just to be different.  They all have the usual features, shaped handle, shopping tray, moving wheels, full working harness and the hood can fold back too.  The pictures are below. 

The present project on the work table is a little Peter Rabbit buggy which I’m making a sun canopy for.  Once this project is complete I have a list of others to get started and one of them is a modern pushchair that I keep going to start but never get round to lol.  I found a few new materials that will work really well for what I want so I’m going to put them to good use.  I also have a twin tandem pushchair on the table, it’s got reclining seat backs and moving foot rests but it’s got a long way to go before it’ll be finished.  If only I could be cloned eh!

A Suitcase and some Cribs

Hello my lovely mini friends…

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post and I blame this mainly on us actually having a summer lol.  Yes I’m guilty of having some fun time in the glorious weather, it may have been a bit rainy in-between but over all we’ve had some hot hot sun.  Also, we’ve a poorly doggie at the moment and so much of my time has been taken over caring for him, poor thing he’s happy and still all bright eyed but he’s got IBD that’s the equivalent to crohn’s in a human, so he’s been quite poorly. 

Anyhooo, I’ve managed a couple of mini makes, I finally finished my first opening suitcase, I decided I’d make lots of changes to the next one I make, including adding wheels and a fold away handle but for now this one will become part of my personal dolls house collection as it’s not quite good enough to sell.

I also made a couple of little cribs with an antique styling to them, a little different than my normal mini makes but they were very quick and easy to make.  I’ll be placing one up for sale here and the other will go up for sale in my Etsy shop.

I’m in the process of making pushchairs but with everything that I have on right now I have no idea how long it will take me to finish them. 

Hopefully things will get back to normal in the next couple of months and I’ll be back to making my minis full time again.

Peter Rabbit Pushchair and other minis

Hey there mini friends,

We’ve had some nice warm sun this afternoon and we’re going to have lots of nice weather this week so I’ll be out taking photos of my minis and I may even get out to enjoy some of the good weather too.  I’ve been busy and I have finished all my orders for now, not sure I’ll be taking on bespoke orders any more as I never seem to have any time to make other minis but I will still make prams that I’ll pop up for sale here.  As my orders are now complete I decided to make a few other minis and pop them up for sale so I made some little hanging baskets of flowers and then I made tiny bird feeders.  Now I’m making retro record players and then I’m doing more shopping trolleys before embarking on more baby things lol.  I’ve popped up lots of pix for you below.  Lastly, I have also put up some pictures of my last order, a little Peter rabbit pushchair made for a lovely mini friend of mine.

I’m really enjoying my artistic freedom, who knows what other minis may be created during this free flowing artistic period lol.  Hope you enjoy the pictures oh and thanks you for your comments I know I say it all the time but you really make me happy.  Oh and one last thing I’ve now started using my Etsy shop so do stop by and have a look.

Pink Nursery Set

Hello lovely friends,

Firstly, thank you for your comments on my last post.  I will try and pop up the tutorial in a readable format so you can copy it.

Now I have just two orders remaining so I’m well on the way to having artistic freedom so I can make a few things from my own imagination.  I have just completed a pink nursery set for a customer.  It includes a dressed cot with drapes, removable cot sheet, cot quilt, cot bumper and frilled valance trim.  A pink pram with all the usual features, a changing mat, nappy bag, and a highchair that has a removable tray and half harness.  A mosses basket with moving hood, folding stand and matching quilt and pillow and lastly a bouncing cradle with ring fastening harness and removable toy bar.  The pictures are below, hope you like them.

Well it is a beautiful day so if I manage to get my next pram painted I will maybe do a little gardening too.  Have a lovely day whatever you are up to.
